About the role

As an Equipment Operator / Maintenance , you will be responsible for the safe and efficient processing of inbound materials, refuse of various forms through Reworld' s industrial disposal process and maintenance of the equipment.

Position Responsibilities :

Waste processing :

• Receive and process inbound materials, through the safe operation of various types of industrial equipment, such as : forklift, track hoe, skid steer, vacuum truck, tanker truck, roll-off truck, walking floor trailer, pressure washer, material handling equipment, and various hand tools
• Receive, weigh, unpack, and label containers, as necessary
• Safely operate industrial equipment to consolidate dumped refuse on the tipping floor
• Follow defined industrial and manufacturing good housekeeping practices at all Covanta facilities and within assigned work areas
• Exterior site maintenance and improvement, as needed, which includes litter collection, painting, snow removal and ice prevention
• Traffic Control for incoming / outgoing traffic
