The Test Infrastructure and Automation Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the systems and tools used for software testing, automation, and monitoring within the organization. This role ensures the reliability, scalability, and performance of platforms such as TestRail, Jira, Selenium Grid, ELK Stack, and Kafka. The administrator collaborates with QA, DevOps, and IT teams to support the end-to-end testing lifecycle in a secure and optimized environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Administer Test Management Servers including TestRail and Jira
- Install, configure, and upgrade self-hosted instances of TestRail and Jira
- Ensure integration between TestRail and Jira for test case and defect management
- Monitor server health, performance, and storage utilization
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and outages
Test Automation Infrastructure :
Manage Selenium Grid infrastructure on both Windows and Linux systemsInstall and configure Selenium components, ensuring compatibility with browsers and driversMonitor and optimize storage, memory, and CPU usage for automation serversPerform regular system upgrades and backupsSupport automation engineers with grid access and usage troubleshootingLog Gathering and Monitoring :
Maintain ELK Stack (ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana) and Kafka environmentsInstall, configure, and upgrade ELK and Kafka on Dockerized infrastructureEnsure real-time log collection, monitoring, and visualization capabilitiesCoordinate with development and infrastructure teams to implement logging strategiesPerform ongoing health checks, patch management, and performance tuningRequired Skills and Qualifications :
Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows system administrationExperience with TestRail, Jira, Selenium Grid, ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana, and KafkaFamiliarity with Docker and containerized deploymentsWorking knowledge of scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python)Ability to manage multiple systems and priorities simultaneouslyExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsPreferred Qualifications :
