Summary\n\nSUMMARY\n\nThe Staff RN - OR is responsible for meeting patients priority needs by assessing, participating in interdisciplinary care planning, providing and / or delegating care based on patient needs, and evaluating patients responses. Contributes to an efficient and effective work environment through activities including professional communication and documentation, preceptoring and / or resourcing of others.\n\nThe Staff RN supervises support staff in the delivery of patient care as described in Nebraska Statute\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO : \n
- Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values.\n
- Initiates assessment and reassessment based on the patients presenting problems / needs in accordance with Bryan Medical Centers procedures.\n
- Synthesizes pertinent initial and ongoing patient data to identify nursing priorities for care and desired outcomes / goals.\n
- Integrates the patients plan of care based on the diagnosis and age-specific needs.\n
- Executes therapeutic and / or supportive interventions, consistent with perioperative procedures.\n
- Provides education for the patient and family to meet identified patient needs.\n
- Evaluates the patients response to and effectiveness of interventions.\n
- Evaluates patients progress toward established outcomes.\n
- Incorporates cultural considerations into the plan / delivery of care.\n
- Documents patient care and related information according to Bryan Medical Center procedures for documentation.\n
- Provides care in conjunction with other members of the interdisciplinary team.\n
- Facilitates patients transition to the next level of care.\n
- Actively participates in continued learning opportunities and continued self-development pertinent to the work unit and duties of the job.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS : \n\nCurrent Registered Nurse licensure from the State of Nebraska or approved compact state of residence as defined by the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act. Must provide evidence of certification and / or instruction for practice area as required by State or Federal standards / regulations. Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required.
