Sales Outfitter Position
The Sales Outfitter performs various selling / customer service activities, to include greeting and acknowledging all customers in a prompt and friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, providing information, assistance, and direction to customers.
Essential functions include supporting a strong commitment to world-class customer service, ensuring a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers, demonstrating products to customers, replenishing product on shelves, remaining a product expert through ongoing training, remaining knowledgeable of advertised sales, assisting with seasonal floor merchandise moves, restocking merchandise, keeping the work area clean, and following all company policies and procedures.
The Sales Outfitter provides a legendary experience for every customer by assisting customers in making buying decisions, identifying and evaluating customers' needs, making product recommendations based on this analysis, and promoting programs including CLUB Membership, VOC and In-Store Pick-up.
Experience / qualifications include a minimum high school education or equivalent experience. Knowledge, skills, and ability include calculating figures, communicating in a friendly and professional manner, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships, and operating a computerized Point of Sale register system.
Travel requirements include none. Physical requirements include standing and / or walking during shifts, ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps, etc., communicating with others to exchange information, repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and / or fingers, operating machinery and / or power tools, operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment, moving objects up to 20 pounds constantly, and occasionally moving and lifting objects up to 100 pounds or more utilizing a team lift as needed, working in tight and confined spaces, and working in noisy environments.
Independent judgment is required to perform tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation, choosing from limited alternatives to resolve problems, and often making recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
