The Role

The Account Director Complex Channel Sales will lead and close advanced solution opportunities through Lumen's Channel Partners, using consultative selling skills and a strong understanding of the advanced solutions on the Lumen Platform (network, security, and collaboration solutions) to consistently achieve quota attainment. This is a relationship-driven role requiring exceptional interpersonal skills to influence, motivate, and convince partners and customers to act. The ideal candidate is both strategic and decisiveeffective at assessing data, acting quickly, and operating with organizational excellence to deliver results and growth across the partner ecosystem.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and close advanced solutions sales opportunities with Lumen Channel Partners, operating as the sales overlay for complex opportunities within Indirect
  • Meet with Partners, participate in joint sales calls to customers, and assist the Partner in closing advanced solutions sales opportunities.
  • Assist Partners in broadening their product expertise and sales opportunities, striving for sales growth on the Lumen Platform.
  • Develop and grow the sales funnel for advanced solutions across the Lumen portfolio with Lumen Channel Partners.
  • Display in-depth knowledge of the features, benefits, and requirements of Lumen's Platform capabilities with the ability to articulate these to Lumen Channel Partners along with the overall value proposition.
  • Serve as the principal facilitator and closer in the sales process through the Lumen internal ecosystem for advanced solution sales opportunities.
  • Attend partner and / or customer meetings and partner events, as designated by management.
  • Provide accurate and updated sales funnel data with clear status on opportunities to meet or exceed quota requirements.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge on all products, programs, and promotions through regular communication and engagement.

What We Look For in a Candidate

Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and / or 5+ years of experience selling network, security, and collaboration solutions to businesses. Proven experience leading and closing complex sales opportunities and consistently meeting or exceeding monthly sales quotas. Demonstrated success in building and influencing strong relationships with partners and customers to drive joint success. Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to assess data and act with urgency to achieve business outcomes. Experience in customer success with a sales hybrid element, blending post-sale engagement with proactive growth and retention strategies. Proficiency in MS Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Strong presentation skills for both small and large groups.

Preferred Qualifications : Selling and supporting within an indirect channel or partner based sales program for IT Organizations, Independent Software Vendors, PaaS, IaaS, VAR's, System Integrators and telecommunications agents.

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors. Location Based Pay Ranges $89,303 - $119,070 in these states : AL AR AZ FL GA IA ID IN KS KY LA ME MO MS MT ND NE NM OH OK PA SC SD TN UT VT WI WV WY $93,776 - $125,024 in these states : CO HI MI MN NC NH NV OR RI $98,238 - $130,977 in these states : AK CA CT DC DE IL MA MD NJ NY TX VA WA
