Title : RN Manager – Progressive Care

Location : Southeast Florida

Schedule : Full-Time, Mixed (No Weekends)

Compensation : $81,000 – $116,500 / year (based on experience)

Position Overview

A large acute care hospital is seeking an RN Manager for Progressive Care to oversee daily operations of the unit, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care. This role manages staffing, monitors clinical outcomes, and supports operational excellence with ~50 FTEs.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the Progressive Care unit, ensuring safe, efficient, and patient-focused care
Monitor compliance with hospital policies, clinical standards, and regulatory requirements
Coach and develop nursing staff, fostering professional growth
Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and unit-based committees
Support recruitment, retention, and performance management of staff
Oversee unit performance metrics and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

Current RN license in practicing state or recognized compact license

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing

ACLS and BLS required (or to be obtained within 30 days of start)

Minimum 2 years of acute care clinical nursing experience

Minimum 1 year of experience as a full-time Charge Nurse, Coordinator, or Nursing Supervisor

Recent acute care experience required (Telemetry, Step-Down, or Critical Care)

Additional Information

Unit FTEs : ~50

Reporting : Reports to Director of PACU

Strong charge nurse candidates with recent acute care experience considered
