Responsibilities
- Develop software solutions by consulting with users, studying system flow, data usage, and work processes. Anticipate problems using the software development lifecycle.
- Evaluate operational feasibility by analyzing problem definitions, requirements, and proposed solutions.
- Document and demonstrate solutions through flowcharts, diagrams, code comments, and clear coding practices.
- Stay current with state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participate in educational opportunities and professional organizations.
- Support the organization by providing advice, coaching, and participating in product / system design reviews.
- Uphold the company's core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork.

- Report any quality issues or defects to management for corrective action to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline.5+ years of experience as a software engineer, with success in developing various software systems, or experience in control and monitoring applications using custom interfaces and TCP protocols.Proficiency in developing and troubleshooting complex software in Linux, Unix, and Windows environments.Experience with TCP / IP debugging, configuring Linux, C / C++, web development (Javascript, Node.js, GTK+3.x or similar).Hands-on experience with communication protocols, lab / test equipment, schematics, and board-level parts.Active DoD Secret Clearance.Additional Capabilities
Skills in DSP, AJAX, SOAP, servo tuning, PLC Ladder Diagrams, NTP, version control systems like Git and Subversion, embedded / IIoT applications, UI / UX design, device driver development, scripting languages, virtualization, and automated testing.Physical Demands
Must be able to sit, walk, use hands, reach, talk, hear, and occasionally stand. Frequently lift objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, and focus adjustment.
