Job Opportunity : Crimson Aquatics Junior Coach
Job Type : Part-time (10+ hours / week)
Age Group : 11-14
Practice Schedule :
- M / W : 6 : 30-8 : 30pm (Brandeis University)
- T / TH : 6-7 : 30pm (Dexter Southfield)
- SAT : 11am-12 : 30pm (Brandeis University)
Additional Availability : Assist other coaches and training groups when needed, weekend swim meet coverage
Work Location : In-person (2 Facilities - Brandeis University and Dexter Southfield)
Pay : Starting rate of $23 / hr + (pending experience)
Education :
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- College diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Experience :
Swim coaching : 1 year (required)
QUALIFICATIONS : Candidates must have :
- General knowledge of competitive swimming, including the ability to teach proper technique of all four strokes, starts, turns, and streamline.
- Self-motivation, able to work with and without direct supervision.
- Physical ability to perform basic functions of the role with / without reasonable accommodation.
- Excellent organizational skills to explain swim sets and intervals while simultaneously running a workout.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with athletes, parents, and colleagues both verbally and rhetorically.
- American Red Cross CPR / First Aid / Lifeguard Certification (preferred)
