Associate Attorney

Winborne LaFleur PC is based in Waxahachie, TX, with a satellite office in Dallas, TX. The firm is a general litigation practice, focusing equally on criminal and civil law, as well as estate planning, contract drafting, and other legal services. We are expanding and intend to add two associate attorneys, and we are especially interested in newly minted attorneys who recently passed the bar.

Role Description

This full-time, on-site role will be located in both Dallas, TX and Waxahachie, TX and possibly involve two Associate Attorneys. Responsibilities include providing legal advice, conducting legal research, handling cases related to labor and employment law, participating in negotiations, representing clients in legal proceedings, and maintaining current knowledge of legal trends and developments. The firm provides training and a supportive environment, emphasizing transparency and collaboration.

Qualifications

• A vehicle, alarm clock, and driver's license – required for traveling to practice locations in Dallas, Ellis, Tarrant, Navarro, Denton, Kaufman, and Johnson Counties.
• A rock-solid work ethic with a focus on punctuality and attention to detail.
• Meticulous focus on the small details, striving for perfection and verifying citations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an on-site environment.
• Membership in the State Bar of Texas.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
• A willingness to represent clients impartially, maintaining zeal for justice without personal bias.
