RemX by Employbridge has partnered with their law firm client with their search for an Estate Administrator. This position is in Boston, Massachusetts.
Responsibilities :
- Overseeing the entire process of managing estates, which involves evaluating assets, settling debts, calculating taxes, and distributing assets to beneficiaries according to the terms of the will or applicable laws.
- Assessing the value of assets, determining cash needs for the estate, estimating estate taxes, and managing the financial aspects of estate administration.
- Preparing and filing estate tax returns with federal, state, and sometimes local tax authorities. This may involve handling audits and ensuring compliance with tax laws.
- Ensuring that estate administration complies with relevant legal requirements, including probate laws, tax laws, and any specific instructions outlined in the deceased individual's will or trust.
- Maintaining communication with attorneys, clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and other relevant parties involved in the estate administration process.
- Handling the preparation and filing of probate forms, estate accountings, and other legal documents required for estate administration.
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients, beneficiaries, and related advisors to address concerns, provide updates, and facilitate the smooth administration of estates.
- Participating in training programs and staying updated on developments in estate law and administration practices to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
