The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) provides high-quality phlebotomy and specimen processing while delivering exceptional patient care. This role involves drawing blood specimens accurately, maintaining patient trust, and following established procedures to ensure safety, confidentiality, and compliant clinical operations. The PSR I supports workflow efficiency, upholds organizational standards, and helps maintain a professional environment for all patients and visitors.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform daily phlebotomy and specimen processing activities accurately and on time .Maintain a safe, professional, and clean work environment.Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collections with confidence and adherence to procedures.Maintain accurate logs, documentation, and required records.Promote a positive, professional image to patients, clients, and colleagues.Work independently with minimal on-site supervision.Provide excellent pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy services.Support varying staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as required.Required Experience :
Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience.Keyboard / data entry experience required.Customer service experience preferred.Nice-to-Have Experience :
1+ years of phlebotomy experience.Experience in retail, service environments, or healthcare-based customer service.Experience in multi-site or high-volume phlebotomy settings.Required Skills :
Strong phlebotomy skills (pediatric, geriatric).Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.High accuracy and attention to detail.Preferred Skills :
Excellent communication and patient interaction.Ability to handle shifting priorities.Knowledge of safety procedures and quality standards.Additional Skills :
Ability to follow established procedures and use sound judgmentAdaptability to schedule changes and staffing needsStrong confidentiality and patient-safety focusAbility to maintain organizational commitmentRequired Education :
High school diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED).Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.Phlebotomy certification preferred (required only in CA, NV, WA - not required in Texas).Work Environment & Custom Details :
