Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a talented Software Developer to contribute to the Integrated Tactical Warning / Attack Assessment (ITW / AA) and Missile Defense mission areas.

This Software Developer role will involve conducting trade studies, system engineering, model-based system engineering, portfolio analysis, as well as software development demonstrations and product testing. Your work will directly support missile defense systems and contribute to innovative data integration and analytics solutions. You will report to the Program Manager.

Key Responsibilities :

Design and implement containerized environments for Java and C++ applications.

Create and maintain mission-critical software for missile defense systems.

Document and communicate technical solutions effectively within agile engineering teams.

Keep abreast of cutting-edge programming techniques and technologies.

Conduct rigorous software design and code reviews to uphold product quality.

Collaborate with System Engineering teams to align, schedule, and showcase capabilities to clients.

Manage regression coding and deployment timelines with external contractors and stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Software Development or a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience (additional experience, training, or certifications may substitute for degree requirements).

U.S. Citizenship and active DoD Secret security clearance required.

Proficient in C++ and Java programming languages.

Experience in developing micro-services and working in containerized environments.

Strong ability to work autonomously as well as in team settings.

Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies .

Preferred Qualifications :

Master's degree in a related field.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Experience with FORTRAN programming.

Familiarity with missile warning and missile defense systems.

Understanding of missile warning message types.

This position will be based in Cheyenne Mountain.

Pay Range : $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
