Healthcare Setting : Level III / IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Assignment Type : Travel RN contract

Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 2 / 2025 – End : 3 / 3 / 2026)

Shift : Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19 : 00 – 07 : 30)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2360-$2420

Patient Ratio : 2 : 1

Unit Size : 49 beds, daily census ~40

RN Qualifications & Requirements

Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse license (conditional license accepted)

Minimum 2 years of NICU RN experience in Level III or IV NICU

NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Experience with EPIC charting system

Infant Driven Feeding Training preferred

Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions allowed)

Successful completion of orientation and required modules

NICU Nurse Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to neonates and infants with prematurity complications and surgical needs

Perform advanced NICU procedures : arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management (AC / PC / SIMV / CPAP / BIPAP / PEEP), therapeutic hypothermia

Administer medications, blood products, and manage IVs

Support breastfeeding and feeding (bottle, breast, gavage)

Monitor and interpret telemetry and dysrhythmias

Educate and support families throughout the care process

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory, radiology, and social services

Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC
