As a Medical Assistant on the UCLA Health Ambulatory Float Team, you'll have the chance to visit various ambulatory clinics, providing both administrative support and patient care. Each day offers an exciting opportunity to meet new patients and collaborate with colleagues, all while enjoying the recognition and support that comes with being part of UCLA Health. This role requires a Clinic Assistant who is adaptable, energetic, and proactive, as you'll be traveling to different UCLA Community practices throughout the greater Southern California area, with your schedule changing based on your assignments. Please note : This role is only available to current Ambulatory Float Team employees. Salary range : $27.75-$27.75 Hourly.

Qualifications Required :

• Documentation of completing a medical assistant program from an accredited medical assistant school
• Documentation of national certification for medical assistant
• Documentation of completing a medical assistant program and demonstrated completion of training in administering injections, performing skin tests, venipuncture, and administering medical by inhalation
• Possession of active CPR certification / BLS
• Ability to take vital signs, perform venipunctures, administer medications, and obtain drug refills
• Knowledge of instruments and supplies for physical examinations and procedures
• Knowledge of symptomatology of common and / or life-threatening medical problems and assessing abnormal laboratory values
• Ability to use computerized patient care systems and proficiency with the Windows operating system
• Ability to be highly flexible, travel to multiple work sites, and work a variable schedule
