Job description

Warehouse Worker

We are seeking a dedicated warehouse worker to join our team in a hospital setting. You will play a vital role in ensuring that doctors, nurses, and technicians have the supplies they need by pulling orders from the basement, replenishing stock, and delivering items throughout the hospital.

Responsibilities :

  • Pull orders of supplies such as gloves, needles, surgical supplies, masks, and gowns from the basement warehouse.
  • Ensure the warehouse is fully stocked and replenish inventory as needed.
  • Hand deliver supplies to various hospital departments, including the ER and surgical offices.
  • Organize materials on racks, shelves, bins, or refrigerated rooms by size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Occasionally assist in assembling parts as required.

Essential Skills :

  • Experience with inventory management and RF scanners.
  • Proficient in order picking.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications :

  • Comfortable working in a team-oriented environment with 20+ colleagues.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs throughout the shift.
  • Capable of standing for the entire duration of the shift (8+ hours).
  • Proficient in reading and writing in English.
  • Familiarity with inputting data using EPIC software.

    Work Environment :

    The warehouse worker will operate throughout the hospital, primarily in the basement for order picking and occasionally on the dock where trucks arrive. Interactions with hospital staff, such as nurses, doctors, and techs, are common, and employees may occasionally greet patients. The role requires wearing a scrub top and appropriate PPE for certain hospital areas. The initial training schedule is Monday to Friday, 6am-2 : 30pm, transitioning to a Tuesday to Saturday shift with the same start time post-training. Flexibility to work additional hours as needed is required.

    Job Type & Location :

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, Oregon.

    Pay and Benefits :

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
