Who We’re Looking For :
Curious. Hands-on. Energized by solving problems and learning new tech. You’re the first line of support for TPM’s manufacturing customers, joining our SOLIDWORKS team under the Manufacturing Division.
This entry-level technical role is all about diagnosing and resolving Level 1 installation, licensing, and workflow issues, documenting every interaction, and escalating complex problems when needed. You’ll also get hands-on exposure to additive manufacturing and 3D reality-capture workflows, expanding your understanding of digital manufacturing technologies.
Success here means strong troubleshooting skills, a passion for learning, and a customer-first mindset. You’ll leverage AI and automation tools to streamline support workflows and enhance customer experience, helping shape the next generation of TPM’s technical support model.
Key Responsibilities :
Respond quickly and courteously to customer inquiries via tickets, phone calls, and web cases.
Provide Level 1 support for software installation, licensing, activation, and general SOLIDWORKS functionality.
Collect complete problem descriptions, reproduce issues, and document findings within TPM’s case management system.
Escalate complex or unresolved cases to senior consultants with clear documentation and replication steps.
Leverage AI and LLM tools to research solutions, automate documentation, and improve support efficiency.
Track open cases, follow up proactively, and keep customers informed on status and next steps.
Collaborate with sales and consulting teams to share customer insights and identify opportunities for training or solution improvements.
Author and maintain knowledge base articles, quick-start guides, and internal playbooks.
Assist with additive manufacturing builds, post-processing, and shipment of printed parts.
Support on-site 3D scanning and data post-processing for reality-capture projects.
Contribute ideas that improve support workflows, team KPIs, and customer satisfaction

What You Bring :
Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, CAD, or related technical discipline.
Mechanical design experience or training, including familiarity with SOLIDWORKS.
Proven troubleshooting ability and technical aptitude.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience using or interest in AI tools and large language models (LLMs) to assist with documentation and problem-solving.
Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining a professional, customer-focused approach.
Bonus Points If You :
Have exposure to 3D laser scanning, additive manufacturing, or digital manufacturing technologies.
Have experience using CRM or ticketing platforms for case management.
Have created technical documentation, quick guides, or training content.
Have prior experience in an engineering, R&D, quality, or technical service environment.
Hold a SOLIDWORKS Certification (CSWA or higher).
