Job description

Job Title : IT Finance & Project Systems SME

Location : Remote

Client Location Address : 700 South Eisenhower Boulevard, Middleton PA 17057

Duration : 24 Months

Possible travel for project milestones and key management meetings once a quarter client will cover expenses

Note - We need Candidate that has public sector experience.

Senior SAP FICO with Project Systems (PS) in the public sector (Funds Management)

IT Finance & Project Systems SME Duties :

  • S / 4 HANA Experience is a must have

Resource needs to have extensive experience working with the Financial Accounting and Controlling, Contract Accounting, Working Capital Management, and Project Systems modules of SAP. Resource must have thorough understanding of End-to-End business processes, data, and transactions. Resource needs certifications in SAP S / 4 Finance, PS, and EPPM modules.

The resource will perform duties in support of PTC's planned migration of its SAP systems to cloud-based SAP S4 solutions. These duties will include :

1. Provide SME expertise and guidance on Finance (FI) and Project Systems (PS) related activities for the implementation of any new or revised processes and procedures related to the S4 cloud migration, including integration with other related PTC systems.

2. Serve as an IT point of contact and SME for Finance and Project Systems related activities involved with the S4 migration, coordinating with project, system integrator, and business resources.

3. Partner with the system integrator, internal IT, and the business finance teams to provide configuration, development, testing, report or other required support for the S4 migration.

4. Quickly adapt and learn PTC's current state end-to-end Finance and Project Systems business processes to facilitate mapping these processes to the To-Be processes.

5. Develop, test, and document workflow processes for Finance and Project Systems activities.

6. Support data profiling, cleansing, reconciliation, testing, and validations of finance master and transactional.

7. ssure modifications and upgrades are thoroughly and successfully tested in the Dev environments before migration to the test and production environments.

8. Partner with the system integrator, internal IT, and business finance teams to enhance project tracking, reporting, and analysis capabilities.

9. ssist project team in identifying Finance and Project Systems related training needs, including initial training for new users, training on new processes or training to groups on specific functionality, etc.

10. ssist in troubleshooting and resolving project related issues and provide support during cutover and post-go live hypercare.

11. Support best practices for system and process change management, documentation of system processes and business practices, and the development of standards for processes.

We need a resource with the following experience :

Minimum 5 years of SAP experience including :

1. Extensive knowledge and experience with SAP Financial modules (e.g., General Ledger, Asset Accounting, Accounts Receivable and Payable, Bank Accounting, etc.)

2. Extensive knowledge in developing and integrating SAP Project Systems (PS) with Finance and Investment Management, including planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting.

3. Significant experience with Microsoft Dynamics and Microsoft Dynamics 365.

4. Experience conducting process discovery and design workshops to develop and deliver SAP PS solutions, ideally in an SAP HANA environment.

5. Experience developing, documenting, and reviewing test scenarios, cases, scripts, and results as well as conducting hands on testing and training as needed

Preferred Experience :

1. Good communication skills (verbal and written) with a strong attention to detail. Experience with documenting As-Is and developing To-Be business processes, including identification, documentation, and review of business requirements, user stories, workflows, etc.

2. Experience in the transportation industry with an understanding of financial procedures, policies, and regulations for public agencies.

3. Experience with supporting migrations to cloud based SAP and GUI to Fiori transitions.

Experience using SAP Fiori to develop and deliver projects using SAP PS or EPPM (Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management)
