As a Nurse Manager, you will oversee the Antepartum Unit, providing care for high-risk patients through labor and delivery, recovery and postpartum in an ambulatory setting. In this role, you will provide diagnostic or therapeutic services to patients while offering clinical supervision, maintaining quality outcomes and supervising all aspects of personnel management and development. Ultimately, your dedication and leadership help enhance the Cleveland Clinic experience for everyone, whether they are patients, visitors or fellow caregivers.

A caregiver who excels in this role will :

• Manage practice of professional nursing and delivery of nurse care on assigned unit.
• Establish clinical direction for nursing care delivery, provide clinical supervision and maintain quality outcomes.
• Collaborate with liaison departments in maintaining patient care standards.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care services in a unit.
• Develop quality initiatives and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective delivery of health services in a unit.
• Develop and maintain unit related patient care standards through continuous quality improvement.
• Maintain JCAHO and other regulatory standards.
• Manage operation of unit.
• Analyze personnel structure, determine staffing needs and mix.
• Provide direction and supervision, evaluate performance, conduct selection and termination process and develop strategic plans.
• Actively promote staff and self-development.
• Participate in clinical nursing research and support foundation research activities.
• Directs unit participation in evaluation of new products.
• Approve purchases and establish or revise inventory quotes.
• Assist in the development and monitoring of budget.
