The nurse educator is an experienced and professional registered nurse with advanced knowledge and skills in the areas of education, research, professional development, leadership, and clinical expertise.
The nurse educator supports the professional and clinical development of the nurse, serves as an expert clinician working to develop the caregiver from novice to expert status, and fosters empowerment through knowledge to achieve excellence in the delivery of evidence based, safe, and high quality nursing care.
The nurse educator works in collaboration with Leadership, Quality, Patient Safety, and other essential departments to ensure regulatory compliance with respect to clinical practice through education utilizing multiple learning modalities.

Required qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Coursework / Training : Environmental Orientation within 30 days of hire.
- Coursework / Training : General RN competency within 30 days of hire.
- Coursework / Training : Unit Specific competency within 90 days of hire.
- California Registered Nurse License upon hire
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
- 3 years of Experience as a RN in a healthcare setting.
- 2 years of Emergency Department : Bedside nursing experience in the Emergency Department.
Preferred qualifications :
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- Teaching experience.
