Hiring for a Process Engineer in Westfield!
We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer to support the design, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing operations in our aerospace manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in improving manufacturing efficiency, reducing costs, enhancing sustainability, and maximizing profitability while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with all safety regulations and standards; actively participate in and support a strong safety culture, including proper use of PPE
- Create, configure, and optimize manufacturing processes from concept through startup and certification
- Develop shop routers and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Assess and analyze processes by taking measurements and interpreting data
- Gather, organize, and analyze manufacturing and process data as required
- Provide technical support for in-process issues on the shop floor
- Develop best practices, standard routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and product quality
- Create and maintain process documentation and operating instructions
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, efficiency, and cost savings
- Follow 6S procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED requiredAssociate degree or higher in a related field preferredProcessing experience in Mechanical EngineeringCAD / CAM experience required; NX preferredProficient computer skills, including Microsoft OfficeAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD\&TWorking knowledge of aerospace manufacturing standards and specificationsExperience with external manufacturing processes (plating, surface treatments, heat treat,Working knowledge of work holding methods and fixturingFamiliarity with inspection processesAdvanced analytical skills with the ability to gather, interpret, and apply data to solve problems and make decisionsStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent attention to detailStrong organizational and time-management skillsExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsAbility to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain a positive, professional attitudeAbility to work independently and complete assignments within established parameters, procedures, and standard practicesAvailability to work a minimum of 45 hours per week , including rotating SaturdaysWorking Conditions

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $130000.00 / yr.
