We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
As an RN at NCG Associates, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in a challenging and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and evaluate critically ill patients' condition
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians
- Manage and assist with invasive procedures and mechanical ventilation
- Monitor and interpret vital signs, EKG readings, and laboratory results
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Document patient information accurately and maintain up-to-date medical records
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in critical care nursing practices and participate in continuing education
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
Requirements
- Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of practice
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- 2 years experience in Critical Care / Intensive Care Unit minimum, Open Heart Trained- preferred, Must have a minimum of 1 year travel exp
- Strong knowledge of critical care nursing principles and practices
- Ability to assess and interpret vital signs, EKG readings, and laboratory results
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records and other relevant healthcare software

Benefits
Location : Olathe, KS
Class / Area : RN ICU
Bill Rate : $1,980@36hrs Weekly
Desired Start Date : ASAP
Length of Assignment : 14 Weeks
Hours per Week : 36 Hrs
Shift and Time : 12hr Nights : 1845-0715
Weekend Rotation : Every Other Weekend
On-call Requirements : None
Holidays Requirements : Required based on unit needs
Floating Requirements : Will float to all inpatient units- Med / surg, Med / tele, Acute / tele, Progressive Care and ED with prior experience
Experience Required : 2 years experience in Critical Care / Intensive Care Unit minimum, Open Heart Trained- preferred, Must have a minimum of 1 year travel exp.
License Required : KS RN or Compact RN License
Certificates Required : BLS, ACLS, & NIH
Housing Assistant : Provided
