Job Description

We’re seeking a Construction Superintendent with strong leadership and organizational skills to oversee the successful delivery of multifamily construction projects. The ideal candidate has experience managing field operations, maintaining safety and quality standards, and driving schedules to meet deadlines. This position plays a critical role in coordinating with trade partners, inspectors, and ownership groups to ensure every phase of construction is executed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise on-site construction activities, ensuring all work meets project specifications, timelines, and safety standards.
  • Oversee the completion of multiple buildings simultaneously, managing crews and subcontractors across project phases from utilities through final turnover.
  • Maintain open communication with inspectors, city officials, and fire departments to schedule and pass inspections efficiently.
  • Conduct detailed quality control inspections at all project milestones, verifying compliance from foundation to finish.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office, Project, Excel, and construction software (such as PlanGrid) for scheduling, documentation, and issue tracking.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
  • 5+ years of field supervision experience in multifamily construction.
  • Proven ability to manage complex schedules and coordinate multiple crews simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of construction documentation, building codes, and safety compliance.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills for interacting with owners, trade partners, and internal teams.
  • OSHA certification or familiarity with OSHA safety standards required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management tools.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive in identifying and resolving site issues.
