Job description

We’re seeking an experienced, hands-on Floor Manager to lead daily operations in our high-volume restaurant located inside Philadelphia International Airport. This role is responsible for ensuring smooth coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house teams while maintaining exceptional service standards, operational efficiency, and staff morale in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities for the position include :

  • Oversee all aspects of daily floor operations, ensuring efficient service flow between kitchen and dining areas.
  • Supervise and support both FOH and BOH employees during shifts, maintaining teamwork and communication.
  • Ensure all operational, health, and safety standards are followed consistently.
  • Manage shift breaks, side work, and floor assignments to optimize coverage during peak hours.
  • Lead by example in providing warm, attentive, and professional customer service.
  • Resolve guest concerns with empathy, urgency, and professionalism.
  • Train, coach, and motivate team members to achieve high performance and consistency.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings to review daily specials, service priorities, and goals.
  • Provide feedback and mentorship to help employees grow and maintain morale.
  • Assist in scheduling, labor management, and daily cash handling / reporting.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs to management or kitchen leadership.
  • Support cost-control initiatives through efficient staffing, waste reduction, and portion management.
  • Qualifications for an ideal candidate include, but are not limited to :

  • 5+ years of restaurant management or supervisory experience in a high-volume setting (airport or similar environment preferred).
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage both FOH and BOH teams simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven ability to maintain composure under pressure and multitask effectively.
  • Working knowledge of restaurant POS systems (experience with Toast POS a plus).
  • Availability for flexible schedules, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Food safety certification and / or alcohol service certification.
