General Description
Under the direction of TPWDs Chief Auditor, this position performs moderately complex (journey-level) internal auditing work in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards and the International Professional Practices Framework and Code of Ethics set forth by the Institute of Internal Auditors. Work involves examining, investigating, and reviewing records, reports, financial statements, and management practices to ensure legal compliance with state statutes and internal regulations. Conducts and / or oversees financial, performance, and / or compliance audits of department processes. Work is performed under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division and Branch rules, regulations and procedures.
