Responsibilities Position based in an acute care hospital within the Labor & Delivery unit High-risk obstetric (OB) and culturally diverse patient population Circulation duties during cesarean sections required Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts, 18 : 00 to 6 : 30 Weekend work required every other weekend Floating required both within the hospital and to nearby affiliated hospitals Epic EMR usage is required No on-call responsibilities Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities within the state RNs provide comprehensive labor and delivery care, including supporting high-risk OB patients and circulating for C-sections Solid color scrubs required; Royal Blue or Navy are preferred Free parking provided initially; assignment parking provided during orientation First-time travelers are accepted All requested time off must be submitted upfront for approval Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as travelers Annual or pre-assignment online modules are required prior to starting Team-oriented environment with support from hospital and float staff Requirements Active CA RN license in hand at time of consideration Minimum of 1 year recent Labor & Delivery RN experience Certifications required : ACLS, BLS, NRP Demonstrated experience with Epic charting system References from at least 2 supervisory sources covering 1 year in the specialty within the last 3 years Must be willing to work two out of three major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year Applicants must live outside a 50-mile radius unless considered local Pending licenses are not accepted Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-626116.
