The Opportunity

• Receive all incoming shipments (perishable and non-perishable / beverage items) according to hotel procedures and safety standards.
• Ability to check all incoming goods (food and non-food items) against delivery invoices, food specifications and purchase records to assure that the type and amount of items charged and ordered were received. Provide coverage in absence of receivers.
• Ability to issue food, beverage and non-food goods to appropriate departments on authorized supply stock requisitions.
• Verify accuracy of deliveries by checking invoices, purchase orders, and packing slips.
• Adequate computer skills, to accurately and efficiently input information into computer systems ( Birchstreet and Q Track).
• Inspect the quality and temperature of food deliveries, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
• Report and document any damages, shortages, or discrepancies immediately to the culinary department and purchasing team.
• Label and store all items in designated storage areas (coolers, freezers, purchasing storages, etc.).
• Rotate stock using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method to maintain freshness.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in all receiving and storage areas.
• Assist with inventory counts and update stock records when required.
• Ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel and purchasing management.
• Communicate effectively with suppliers, the purchasing team, and kitchen staff regarding delivery issues or substitutions.
• Follow all safety and sanitation procedures as required by hotel policy and local regulations.
• Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitor and log temperatures of refrigerated items at the time of delivery.
