Overall Purpose
Strategically directs and leads a team of professionals who analyze data from diverse sources using advanced predictive modeling, statistics, and trend analysis, thereby driving informed decision-making and optimizing business performance.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Data Analysis and Interpretation : Gather, analyze, and interpret diverse data sets to solve a variety of business problems, predict behaviors, and identify causal relationships, trigger points, and predictions. Well‑versed with relational and / or data warehouse data storage, including Oracle, MySQL, Snowflake, Databricks Delta Lake.
- Statistical Methods and Decision Support : Apply advanced statistical methods to quantify data variances and use traditional modeling techniques to support decision‑making. Common tools include Tableau, PowerBI, Databricks, AWS, Azure, Synapse, H2O Driverless AI.
- Business Case Development and Analytics Tools : Develop business cases and create complex models utilizing big data analytics tools for modeling and process integration, and to recommend improvements to processes, financials, and business models. Build and test predictive models (e.g., Linear / Logistic Regression, Time Series).
- Reporting and Business Insights : Develop visualizations such as dashboards, reports, and charts, and advise business partners on data patterns and relationships to recommend strategic directions.
Job Contribution
Develops the organization’s philosophy, departmental strategies and defines long‑term goals and alignment with overall business objectives. Leads large teams, directly supervising senior staff and cross‑functional initiatives across AT&T.
Education / Experience
Master’s degree (MS / MA) desired in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or Physics. 10+ years of related experience.
