Local Marketing Coordinator (LMC)

- Owners / Operator and works in collaboration with HQ Marketing team.
- Full-time position : Non-Exempt
- Hour’s expectations – approximately 40 hours per week, depending on events on Social Calendar. Must have the ability to be at the school / in the community a minimum of 10 hours per week. Requirement is for two to three days per week physically in the school to gather content and drive engagement and culture.
Job Summary
The Local Marketing Coordinator at our swim school will play a key role in driving community engagement and business growth. This position involves coordinating both internal and external communications for marketing campaigns, school events, and local promotions. The coordinator will also help generate new, qualified leads through targeted marketing initiatives and nurture those leads throughout the customer journey to increase conversions and enhance customer retention. A focus on creating lasting relationships with families and ensuring a seamless experience for new and returning students is essential.
Areas of Responsibility :
The Local Marketing Coordinator is responsible for managing and promoting growth in the following areas :
Social and Online Reputation
Create local content to engage our online community and encourage new enrollments.Develop unique social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) content of Aqua-Tots’ students, families and staff members to engage current members, increase brand awareness and retain year-round enrollments.Create local content calendar for the entire year.Schedule & post social media content through 3rd party platform.Follow, comment and share on local businesses’ social media pages to support and bring awareness to the Aqua-Tots brand.Ensure reviews, comments and engagements across all social media platforms are responded to professionally and in a timely manner.Partner with other ownership groups or locations to interact and engage on each other’s social media platforms.Engage with Aqua-Tots HQ Facebook page by commenting and liking.Be aware of your Aqua-Tots’ Google and Yelp ratingRespond to all Reviews within 24 hours.Reach out to customers who leave reviews by thanking them or conducting customer recovery.Report on key metrics and set goals for growth on online platforms.Stay up to date on trends and platform features to expand online reach and engagement.Complete front desk training in preparation for assisting the front desk staff as required.Community Involvement
Build partnerships with local businesses to display collateral for a trade of services or advertising.Build and maintain a record of businesses, preschools, and other entities for future collaboration opportunities.Research local events and determine the best opportunities to promote the Aqua-Tots brand.Organize, plan, and attend local events.Tracking and maintaining a record of businesses that are open in a 5-10-mile radius of your school.Tracking and maintaining a record of preschools and daycares within a 15-20-mile radius of your schoolTracking and maintaining a list of schools and PTA’s that are in your top 5 zip codesConducting water safety presentations as required and seeking out new opportunities.Physically going to local businesses, libraries, preschools, and elementary schools to promote our services.Campaign Execution
Prepare campaign assets and assist with placement in schools during designated timeframes.Coordinate with school management to prepare for and communicate promotions, in-school events and activities.Digital Communications
Build out email communications to nurture leads and improve customer retention.Maintain email drip campaigns to ensure seamless communication throughout the customer journey.Report on relevant email metrics.Aqua-Tots Headquarters Program Execution :
Participate in all HQ Marketing / Creative SOP’sInteract with HQ blog and Facebook Posts.Participate in all training and community sessions held from HQ to improve your role for Aqua-Tots.Attend monthly Management meetings and sessions.Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in marketing / communications, retail, sales, membership sales or related field, franchise / multi-unit marketing experience a plusValid Driver’s LicenseGenuine passion and commitment to working with children and keeping them safeProven track record with creating and implementing marketing campaigns, development and execution of social media content and event planning and managementFlexible schedule availabilityAvailability on weeknights and weekends depending on scheduled presentations and events, including holidays when neededExperience with Mac-based EnvironmentExperience with Canva and other social media content building software for posting and creationPreferred Qualifications
