Mainframe DevOps Engineer

A company is looking for a Mainframe DevOps Engineer for a remote long-term contract role.

Key Responsibilities

Support and enhance mainframe operational environments by implementing DevOps practices and automation frameworks

Design, build, and optimize CI / CD pipelines using IBM Z DevOps tools and open-source integrations

Collaborate with developers, release managers, and operations teams to improve software delivery and deployment reliability

Required Qualifications

Several years of experience in a mainframe operations or development environment (z / OS)

Strong knowledge of JCL, TSO, and ISPF

Ability to write and troubleshoot REXX scripts

Experience with mainframe application development using COBOL, PL / I, VSAM / QSAM, or DB2 is preferred

Familiarity with IBM Z DevOps ecosystem tools is advantageous
