Base pay range
$133,723.20 / yr - $167,190.40 / yr
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, direct, and supervise the operations of the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for San Mateo Medical Center.
- Engage with community-based organizations to develop connections and understand population dynamics and diversity at the county level.
- Help understand root cause of health outcome disparity and design ways to close the gap for every ethnic group.
- Present health outcome data and disparity reduction plan quarterly to the hospital board.
- Collaborate to advance the Government Alliance for Racial Equity (GARE) Plan and enhance knowledge and skill level of all staff through initiatives like 21-day racial equity challenge.
- Work closely with executive team to embed equity into improvement system to assure no widening of health outcome gaps.
- Manage and make crucial system-level decisions about language accessibility, conduct RFP, manage contracts.
- Stay up to date with latest state and federal legislation and regulatory bodies.
- Representative in in-person position based at San Mateo Medical Center, may require travel.
Qualifications
At least two years of experience program and budget development, funding, utilization, coordination of community resources or program evaluation.Experience providing leadership, planning and implementing organizational change that eliminates institutional racism and bias.Strong relationship building with community members and service providers.Knowledge of key factors affecting health disparities.Understand National CLAS Standards.Experience developing and implementing program goals, objectives, policies and priorities; contracting with vendors; program budget administration.Strong oral and written communication, analytical capability, data analysis skills.Spanish bilingual skills preferred.Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in public health, social work, public administration or related field; one year supervisory experience in health, social services or community-based program.
