Medical Coding Supervisor

A company is looking for a Medical Coding Supervisor (Physician and Hospital Coding).

Key Responsibilities

Supervise a team of medical coders for physician and hospital coding

Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with regulations, including ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS standards

Assist in training and onboarding new coding staff while tracking productivity and performance metrics

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field preferred

Current nationally recognized coding certification in good standing (CPC, CCS-P, CCS, etc.)

A minimum of 3 years of experience in medical coding, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role

Extensive knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems

Proficiency in coding software and electronic health record (EHR) systems
