Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Interventional Radiology Technologist Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : ASAP Duration : 26 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 8 hours, days Employment Type : Travel HIGHLIGHTS : Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in the following below for this role Required Certifications & Licensure : BLS (American Heart Assoc.), ACLS (American Heart Assoc.), IEMA Radiography License Illinois, Radiography (R)(ARRT) Required Education : Associate's Degree in Related Field OR Certificate in Radiologic Technology Schedule Notes : DAYS; 7 : 30AM - 5 : 00PM M-F Performs on call duties and / or work variable shifts as assigned to meet department needs Takes call in within 6 months Able to work around and maintain a sterile field during procedures Can pull supplies for procedures ADDITIONAL DETAILS : Job Requirements : Peripheral vascular work, Venous Central Lines, Tube Changes, Neuro (would be ideal), Embolization work (Arterial / Venous), Venous Thrombectomy work MORE INFORMATION : Administers contrast material (when applicable), according to physician's request, by means of existing vascular access point; recognizes and responds to hypersensitivity or allergic reactions All functions and duties will be under the direct supervision of a physicist or dosimetrist Assists with inventory / supplies Checks for correct patient and chart identification, diagnosis, and treatment position Compiles pertinent clinical information pertaining to lab, pathology, etc Assists in instruction of new staff as necessary Documents accurately and completely according to established policies and procedures Explains procedure to patient and provides for patient care- including comfort, support, safety, and confidentiality Performs all essential functions of the Radiologic Technologist Administers and with holds contrast and treatment as appropriate Assess patients for allergies Cardiac Cath Lab work including left heart cath, with / without coronary stenting, right heart cath, pericardiocentesis, and vascular access under sterile procedure Structural Heart Procedures to include TAVR, Watchman, Mitraclip, Triclip, ASD / PFO and CardioMEMs Hybrid Peripheral Vascular work in coordination with vascular surgery to include EVAR, TCAR, and TEVAR Adjunctive tools to complete the above procedures including but not limited to ICUS, FFR / iFR, Lithotripsy, Laser, Rota, Impella, IABP, OCT, and CTO Required Skills & Experience : Capacity to learn and retain information regarding patient care and procedures, Ability to communicate effectively, follow directions, and complete detailed work accurately, Demonstrates compassion and caring in dealing with others, Manual dexterity to handle small supplies Preferred Skills & Experience : Previous Radiologic Technology experience in a procedural setting Department-Specific Skills & Experience : Experience with Interventional Neurology is preferred About Premier Medical Staffing Services Premier Medical Staffing Services, LLC is a nationally expanding healthcare staffing firm for healthcare professionals and companies.
