Job description

Responsibilities

Support the agency's request and approval process, procurement management, life cycle management, redeployment, and disposal of computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
Track and maintain a large volume of physical and computer network components from acquisition through disposal.
Complete physical handling of computer hardware inventory (i.e. : moving, stacking, storing, and labeling boxes).

Requirements

Education & Corresponding Experience

High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a directly related technical field is preferred.

6 months of experience in Computer / Information Technology or a directly related field preferably providing computer hardware and / or software support is required.

Required Technical Skills & Experience

2 years working knowledge of computer systems and components, operating systems, and applications software. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite applications.

Knowledge of hardware and software lifecycle management.

Preferred Skills & Experience

One or more of the following Certifications :

Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM)

Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP)

Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM).

Demonstrated logistics and / or warehouse systems experience. Familiarity with procurement and / or asset ordering systems.
