About The Position

IMMC - Cardiac Cath Lab

To be minimally qualified for this opening, your candidate MUST HAVE :

• 2 years experience as Invasive Cath lab tech
• active BLS, ACLS, and ARRT in hand at time of submission

Additional skills required : Impella, aortic balloon pump, arterial lines, cardiac cath scrub experience for Techs

Laser lead extraction, Rotoblator, FFR, IVUS, Impella, IABP (balloon pump), EKOS, pacemaker, scrub and pan table, medrad, groin site management and monitoring

About the unit / facility :

1 : 1 patient ratios. Cath lab has 3 beds for Procedure labs, Cath and EP patients. Details below.

EPIC charting, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis med dispense, Philips telemetry monitoring at bedside (no Tele tech). Procedural scrubs provided by facility. Parking : They can sign up for parking, which is $47.50 for the month or $23.75 for two weeks. We have plenty of parking. We are also minutes from the CTA Brown line if they decide to use public transportation. Support on the unit will consist of charge nurse (takes assignment), receptionist, and Hospitalist / Physician available after hours. Traveler can expect to receive 1 day of orientation on the unit.

Cath Lab : Diagnostic / Interventional, LHC / RCH, NSTEMI and STEMI, Impella, IABPs, Rotoblator, CTOs / staged PCI, shockwave, temp pacers, peripheral (legs) diagnostic / intervention, loop recorders

EP : Micra, pacemaker, AICDs, lead extractions / revisions, generator changes
