As a Security Officer - Distribution Patrol in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol key areas within a logistics and distribution environment. Your presence helps to deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming atmosphere for everyone on site. Through routine patrols and clear communication, you support a secure and positive location for employees and visitors. Pay Rate : $17.45 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Monday : 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Tuesday : 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Wednesday : 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Thursday : 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Friday : 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding to emergencies when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner within logistics and distribution locations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and along the perimeter to help to deter and / or identify unauthorized activity.
  • Communicate and collaborate with team members and site personnel to maintain awareness of activities and support security-related needs.
  • Observe and report suspicious or unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Support access control processes by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and reporting irregularities as needed.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner as part of Allied Universal's procedures.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential disruptions and provide assistance to staff, visitors, and vendors.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
