Human Resources Manager – Manufacturing

Location : Gainesville, GA (Onsite, 5 Days / Week)

About the Company :

Our client is a well-established machinery manufacturing company currently expanding operations in Gainesville, GA. As part of this critical growth, they are seeking a seasoned Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations and strategy across their plant.

Role Overview :

This onsite leadership role will report directly to the HR Director and have a dotted-line relationship to the Plant Manager. The HR Manager will own the day-to-day HR operations for the Gainesville site.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, sometimes chaotic environments, and brings a strong manufacturing HR background. They must be confident working with senior leaders, influencing directors, and leading a team of up to 4 HR Generalists.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead HR Strategy for the Gainesville site
• Manage a team of HR Generalists, providing leadership, coaching, and accountability.
• Attend Plant Manager staff meetings twice per month to align HR with operational needs.
• Partner closely with department directors and the Plant Manager on :
• Manpower planning
• Leadership development
• Internal communications
• Drive day-to-day HR operations, including :
• Employee relations
• Conflict resolution
• Coaching and performance management
• FMLA administration (limited scope)
• Employee investigations, disciplinary actions, and termination recommendations
• Maintain and manage time and attendance systems at the plant level.
• Ensure compliance with all employment laws : FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, etc.
• Assist in the development and implementation of HR metrics and tracking systems.
• Help shape and maintain a strong company culture and employee engagement strategy.
• Ensure internal HR processes align with plant goals and employee needs.
