We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Assistant Executive Director (AED) to join our leadership team at a vibrant, fast-paced Independent and Assisted Living community. This is an opportunity for a proven leader with a passion for serving seniors, mentoring teams, and ensuring excellence in operations and care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
As the Assistant Executive Director, you will partner closely with the Executive Director to ensure smooth daily operations, strong team engagement, and a positive resident experience across all areas of the community. Your leadership will focus on :
- Operational Excellence Support all aspects of Assisted Living operations in partnership with the Resident Care Director (RCD) to ensure compliance, resident satisfaction, and quality outcomes. Oversee the Business Office Manager and all related financial processes, including billing, payroll, and resident records, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Lead the move-in process , coordinating with sales, care, and operations teams to ensure a seamless transition for new residents. Assist with state surveys, audits, and compliance readiness efforts.
- Leadership & Team Development Recruit, hire, and onboard hourly team members who align with our mission and values. Coach and mentor department leads and hourly staff to drive engagement, accountability, and performance. Champion a culture of teamwork, integrity, and open communication. Participate in leadership meetings, community events, and strategic planning initiatives.
- Resident & Family Engagement Build authentic relationships with residents and their families, ensuring exceptional service and responsive communication. Support daily programming and engagement opportunities that enhance resident well-being and community life.
Qualifications
Minimum 2–3 years of leadership experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or a related service industry.Strong knowledge of Assisted Living operations, compliance, and resident care coordination preferred.Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with compassion and composure.Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.A passion for servant leadership and commitment to the mission of enriching lives through meaningful service.Why Join 12 Oaks Senior Living?
