Job Description

Description :

Ready to be a part of the company transforming FinTech and how the world accesses banking services?

When was the last time you were excited about interacting with your bank or credit union? If the answer is “a while” then you’re in good company. Despite the fact that access to better financial choices is at the heart of empowering communities, businesses, and people, financial institutions (FIs) are struggling to keep up with modern expectations.

And that’s where Kinective comes in. We’re here to change the way the world accesses and thinks about banking through software that connects a historically “boring” industry to the latest and greatest fintechs shaping the industry.

Ok... but what does all of that actually mean? Banks and credit unions are using some pretty old-school systems, which makes adopting new and innovative technology difficult (if not impossible). If you think it’s easy for your local branch to send you a receipt via text… think again.

Want proof? As the largest provider of software connectivity to 1 in 4 U.S. financial institutions, we are the leading company transforming the way banking is done for credit unions and banks. (In fact, Forbes recently released their Best Banks in the World report, and Kinective works with over 60% of their named banks!).

Kinective is the connector (get it?) that bridges that technology gap and helps modernize the way banking works. Our 300+ team of mega-talented and passionate folks are brought together with the unifying desire to make life easier (and better) for our clients and ultimately paving the way for banks and credit unions to modernize banking for everyone.

The Cliffs Notes

As a member of our development team, you will be working with individual customers to uncover, develop and implement solutions in the banking and credit union space. You have strong SQL skills and experience with programming languages like JavaScript, who takes pride in your work. You are naturally curious, analytical and a skilled collaborator. This is an opportunity for you to use your database, programming, and highly developed interpersonal skills to find just the right solution.

If you are looking to apply your experience and stretch yourself intellectually working on an amazing team, let's talk!

What you’ll own :

  • Product Specialist : Absorb a deep understanding of our products and how each customer can ideally leverage our platform.
  • Client Onboarding : Lead and support customer implementations from kickoff to go-live, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
  • Configuration & Testing : Configure data mapping, file transfers, and API connections using Kinective’s proprietary tools, and perform validation testing. You'll be designing, developing and modifying amazing solutions that meet each customer's business needs.
  • Customer Communication : Serve as a key point of contact for customers during onboarding, uncover their unique business needs and collaboratively implementing creative solutions.
  • Collaboration : Partner with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and fintech vendors to resolve technical issues and align on integration requirements.
  • Issue Resolution : Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, mapping errors, and connectivity issues, escalating to technical teams as needed.
  • Documentation : Maintain accurate records of configurations, customer requirements, and best practices.
  • Continuous Improvement : Contribute to process enhancements that improve implementation speed, consistency, and quality. You should consistently stretch yourself intellectually – challenging conventional thinking with your positive and curious mind.

What your great at :

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a detail-oriented mindset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in customer-facing settings
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Tech-savvy and eager to learn new tools, APIs, and data transfer methods
  • Comfortable collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and dependable with a strong sense of ownership
  • Requirements :

    Necessary Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
  • 2+ years of experience in technical implementations, data operations, or systems integration (fintech, SaaS, or financial services preferred)
  • Full stack development and client facing implementation experience preferred but not required
  • Strong command of SQL and a complementary toolset that might include JavaScript, PHP, Java or Python
  • Domain knowledge of highly regulated, high volume transaction processing systems – experience in the banking or credit union space preferred
  • Familiar with CRM or ERP platforms and experience either presenting or consuming APIs
  • Ability to troubleshoot across the entire tech stack with an intense curiosity – you love figuring things out
  • Passionate about building quality products that perform well under pressure and are easy to maintain
  • Strong communications skills and the ability to articulate issues to non-technical users
  • Extra points if you've worked in a growth stage company and understand shifting priorities in order to build a world-class product

One Kinective. Together, we win. By embracing a “better together” mindset, we unleash the full potential of our team and propel Kinective from good to great.

Build the future. We are driven by the pursuit of what’s possible. Building the future requires embracing change and challenging the status quo. We believe that the best idea wins, embodying a culture of innovation.
