Compensation : $60,000-$75,000 Per Year Plus Excellent Benefits Including 401K
Job Summary :
The CPI coordinator is responsible for leading the development and success of the Continuous Process Improvement Program within Barrett's NYN region. This position will report directly to the Safety Specialist. The CPI position provides leadership, planning, training, CPI methodology guidance, communication, and coaching skills to promote a culture of continuous improvement. The CPI Coordinator focuses on the creation of a work environment that engages employees at all levels in the business to help reduce waste, improve and simplify processes, improve sustainability of process utilization, continually reduce costs, and improve the overall effectiveness of all business processes.

- Ensuring proper order entry and detail
- Keeping accurate data records on all projects
- Program Description
- Includes continuing to develop effective CPI reporting processes and templates, and updated training material.
- Data entry and tracking improvements of all new projects and processes including 6S, One Colas Quarry initiatives, Motive Cameras and DARCI.
- Introducing new process improvement initiatives, such as 6S Workplace Organization and Value Stream Mapping Projects.

Work closely with Region CPI teams and support in all responsibilities, to continue to build a self-sufficient impactful CPI program in the region.The Planning and Reporting Process involves preparing annual plans, tracking progress, and presenting results throughout the year during business meetings.Educate, train and be a resource for regional CPI teams.Other items include participation in the Colas CPI Network, Creating Barrett Trail Newsletter articles.To ensure program success it is critical to develop a solid working relationship with Region Managers, Superintendents, Safety, Field Supervisors and Regional CPI Teams; one that is based on trust, collaboration and teamwork.Frequent travel to build relationships and assist in the development of each Regional CPI Program is necessary.Safety :
Participating actively in company safety programs, including safety huddles, safety observations and reporting of close calls.Fostering the safety culture by making good / safe decisions.Following all safety policies and procedures, Motor Vehicle Policy, Drug & Alcohol Policy, etc.Education And Minimum Experience :
Education :
College Degree required, BS or Process Management RecommendedLean Six Sigma Certifications Preferred (Ability or Willingness to Attain)Experience :
Successful program development with increasing levels of responsibilityFacilitation and CPI MethodologiesAdvanced MS Office, OutlookPhysical Requirements :
