Get to Know the Opportunity

The analyst role will work extensively with the Mortgage-Backed Security portfolio managers in creating and maintaining daily analytics, summarizing research reports, providing trade support, as well as developing multi-factor relative value graphs, charts, and reports. The candidate must be analytically and technically proficient, have strong communication skills, and be self-motivated.

The Contributions You Will Make

Portfolio reporting & monitoring:

• Assist portfolio managers in measuring and analyzing risk through exposure reports as needed.
• Advise portfolio managers on trades needed to maintain desired exposures.
• Design and build appropriate models to address inefficiencies in portfolio management.
• Effectively use technology to streamline existing portfolio management processes and develop new tools.
• Participation in the idea generation process.
• Help build and maintain client relationships by responding to various client requests.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree with 2+ year's industry experience; MBA and/or pursuit of CFA charter preferred.
• Buy-side fixed income experience, preferably in the capacity of investment management. The ideal candidate will have direct experience working with mortgage-backed securities.
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills; able and willing to quickly learn the investment strategy and related issues of the business, many of which are highly complex and quantitative.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills, ability to work in a complex organization effectively.
• Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Proven oral and written communication skills, specifically related to presentations and reporting.
• Self-motivated, disciplined, and highly driven to meet goals and deadlines.
• Strong teamwork skills are necessary to be successful in the role.
• Excel/VBA/SQL programming experience.

Compensation Pay Disclosure: Voya is committed to pay that's fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities. The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate's geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements, and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked. $92,000 to $115,000 USD
