Construction Inspector (MTA Projects | NYC-Based)
Join a growing engineering team supporting major infrastructure projects across New York City. We're hiring a Construction Inspector with experience in civil, highway, or vertical construction to support inspection and reporting on active MTA projects. This is a field-based role ideal for someone with a strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and procedures, and a passion for quality assurance and compliance.
About the Role :
You'll be responsible for reading and interpreting construction plans, performing field inspections, preparing daily reports, and ensuring compliance with project specifications. You'll also build strong relationships with clients and project teams while managing multiple inspection tasks across active job sites.
Key Responsibilities :
Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Perform field inspections and material sampling / testing
Prepare daily inspection reports and quantity computations
Facilitate communication between project teams and clients
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
Support project documentation and reporting
Qualifications :
3+ years of experience in construction materials, methods, and procedures
1+ year of field inspection experience in civil, highway, or vertical construction
MTA project experience required
Track Safety Training (TST) Certification required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (preferred)
Certifications such as ACI, NICET IIIV, PE, CCM, or CMIT are a plus
Strong communication, organizational, and reporting skills

Pay and Benefits :
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00 / yr.
