Cash Application Specialist
We are looking for a dedicated Cash Application Specialist to join our team in Sarasota, Florida. In this long-term contract role, you will play a crucial part in managing accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in cash applications. This position requires a strong background in QuickBooks and cash management, along with excellent problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Oversee accounts receivable processes for designated company routes, ensuring timely and accurate management.
- Perform daily cash application tasks, including verifying deposits, processing transactions, and updating records.
- Accurately post payments in QuickBooks and resolve discrepancies such as overpayments or underpayments.
- Maintain updated accounts receivable records, addressing credits, collections, and small balance adjustments.
- Prepare detailed weekly reports on accounts receivable for internal stakeholders, highlighting discrepancies and payment issues.
- Communicate regularly with internal teams to discuss account statuses and resolve concerns.
- Create and upload journal entries related to cash and other miscellaneous transactions.
- Generate aging reports for monthly financial reviews, providing detailed notes on outstanding invoices and credits.
- Collaborate with the Treasury Manager to address delinquent accounts and prepare account write-offs.
- Provide support for audit requests and conduct reconciliations for accounts receivable.
Requirements
A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable, with a focus on cash applications.Proficiency in QuickBooks with at least 3 years of hands-on experience.Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies in account transactions.Ability to generate and interpret financial reports, including aging and reconciliation reports.Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.High attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple accounts and deadlines.Familiarity with general accounting principles and processes.Capability to work onsite Monday through Friday in Sarasota, Florida.
