Job Title : Welder
FLSA Status : Non Exempt
Job Summary
Responsible for fitting and welding of steel, aluminum, and stainless steel parts using MIG and / or TIG process. The work is repetitive in nature and requires a strong sense of details. Responsibility to perform other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by your supervisor may be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up welding machines based on the job at hand.
- Read & interpret blueprints and or drawings to determine the specific welding required
- MIG or TIG weld Steel, Aluminum or stainless steel
- Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards
- Must wear PPE to include but not limited to welding helmet and welding gloves
- Must be able to use precision measuring tool to inspect grooves and angles
- Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment.
- Follow company rules and policies
- Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task
- Follow safety rules and quality standards
- Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
- Must have the ability to communicate in a clear and professional manner
- Must show up at work on time and as scheduled.
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or GED preferredOne year related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education & experience requiredTwo years of experience with MIG or TIG welding requiredExperience with steel, aluminum and / or stainless steel preferredCurrent & valid certification a plusAbility to read blue printsBasic math skillsPhysical and Environmental Conditions
Ability to stand for long periods of timeAbility to stand, sit, bend and kneel without difficultyAbility to repeatedly lift / pull / push 50lbsExposure to loud noisesExposure to heat and fumesWorking in the presence of fork trucks and other manufacturing machinery7am- 3pm
3pm- 11pm
