Your responsibilities

Looking for an experienced forklift operator to join our shipping team here in Acworth, GA. This is a 2nd shift position loading van trailers along with flatbeds to deliver material to our customers located across several states in the southeast region of the US.

Pay $17.00 per hour to start

Responsibilities

• Work in shipping department as a forklift operator running LP sit down forklift.
• Hours of shift are Sunday 2PM-10 : 30PM and Monday-Thursday 4PM-12 : 30AM. Off Friday and Saturday.
• Coordinate with transportation planner to get a list of items to deliver by stop count, customer, and route for each truck.
• Load 53' dry vans and flatbeds that are delivery ready and have items sorted by stop number on truck for easy unload at delivery destination.
• Safely load and secure shipments inside trailer for transport.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workspace.
• Ensure material is free of damage or defect at time of loading.
• Use RF scanner to accurately locate and scan material that will be shipping.
• Work with small shipping team and drivers to ensure on time departure of trucks.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

Your profile

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs on a regular basis

Preferred Qualifications

• First Aid and CPR Certified
• Previous forklift and / or side loader experience
• Previous RF scanner experience
• Ability to multi-task effectively
• Previous experience working at a cross dock or distribution center loading trucks.
