About the role :

As the Director of Procurement at Florida State University, you'll step into a senior leadership role with responsibility for managing and overseeing Procurement Services staff. Your main focus will be on ensuring smooth operations and compliance with procurement activities , as delegated by the Board of Governors and aligned with university regulations. You'll play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategic objectives for procurement services, collaborating on policy and procedure development to enhance transaction efficiency, and acting as the primary liaison for campus customer collaborations. You will engage in consultative relationships with departments to understand their unique procurement needs, develop tailored sourcing plans and strategies, and ensure they align with organizational goals.
