Job description

Silk City Café is seeking a passionate, friendly, and detail-oriented

  • Key Responsibilities :
  • Craft a wide variety of high-quality espresso drinks, teas, smoothies, and juices according to house recipes and presentation standards.
  • Serve ice cream and other specialty beverages with consistency and care.
  • Provide warm, knowledgeable customer service—greet guests, take orders, make recommendations, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Operate espresso machines, blenders, juicers, and the POS system efficiently and safely.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the barista station, equipment, and café seating areas throughout each shift.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of beans, syrups, milk, ice cream mix, and other bar supplies; assist with restocking and ordering.
  • Work collaboratively with both front-of-house and kitchen teams to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with local and company policies.
  • Qualifications :
  • 1–2 years of barista or café experience preferred—but we’re willing to train the right person with great attitude and hustle.
  • Strong multitasking and time management skills, especially under pressure.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory.
  • Familiarity with various brewing methods and coffee culture is a plus.
  • Positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a customer-first mindset.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends, early mornings, and holidays as needed.
  • Compensation & Perks :
  • Hourly pay : $16.00–$18.00
  • depending on experience.
