Position Summary

Cohesive MediRyde, we are a non-emergency medical transportation company. We specialize in transporting ambulatory, wheelchair, and stretcher clients to medical appointments, including doctors' appointments, dialysis, physical therapy, rehabilitation centers, chemo, and their private residences in a safe, secure, and professional manner.

We are hiring responsible, reliable, and compassionate Non-Emergency Medical Transport Driver to transport our members to and from their medical treatment appointments.

POSITION SUMMARY EXPANDED :

Under the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act,?( The Unity Bill ) this position is considered a Safety-sensitive position.

Safety-sensitive is defined to include any job that includes tasks or duties that could affect the safety and health of the employee performing the task or others.

Employees working in safety-sensitive roles are subject to this exception and subject to disciplinary action in the event of a positive test for marijuana or its metabolites.

Essential Duties

• Safe and timely transport of clients utilizing company vehicles and complying with all applicable motor vehicle laws, rules, and / or regulations.
• Driver must always be courteous, and maintain a professional image and attitude to clients, visitors, and co-workers.
• Ability to assist in lifting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering passengers loaded on stretchers or wheelchairs.
• Complete daily vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Accurately complete activity logs required for transportation services rendered.
• Reporting verbally to the appropriate personnel when the client is delivered to the receiving health care facility or other places of medical care.
• Must be eligible and remain eligible for coverage as a driver for our vehicles by our insurance carrier.
• Serve as part of a two-person stretcher team to assist the stretcher van driver by navigating the stretcher or wheelchair to and from the van at the pick-up and drop-off locations.

Shifts

• 3 - 12 hour shifts per week
• 5 - 8 hour shifts

Requirements : Education

Education

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
• Leadership Experience : 1 year (Preferred)
• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• Active OK EMT or EMR Certification (A Plus Not Required)

Requirements :

• Must be able to pass a Criminal Background and Drug Screening.
• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Excellent time management skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Utilize a GPS device or Smartphone / Device with GPS capability
• Provide superior customer service experience while assisting customers in a thoughtful, caring, and timely manner.
• Drivers must be flexible and comfortable with driving short and long distances.
• Be proficient in English (both written and spoken)
