- Follow established nursing standards and implement facility policies while guiding fellow staff and ensuring compliance with regulations.\n
- Effectively communicate patient care reports with incoming and outgoing nurses to support seamless transitions and continuity of care.\n
- Conduct regular patient rounds, supervise nursing assistants, and promptly report any changes in patient condition to physicians and supervisors. Initiate lifesaving measures as needed.\n
- Oversee all aspects of patient care, assigning tasks to nursing assistants and maintaining high standards for resident care.\n
- Provide clinical supervision and support to nursing assistants and licensed practical nurses, assisting in data assessment.\n
- Competently administer medications and treatments as per physician orders, ensuring adherence to facility policies and state laws.\n
- Conduct thorough assessments and documentation for each patient, developing tailored care plans and participating in care conferences.\n
- Coach and evaluate nursing staff, providing input for performance assessments and recommending corrective actions when necessary.\n
- Ensure the readiness of emergency equipment, maintain thorough documentation, and uphold infection control measures.\n
- Exhibit strong teamwork by collaborating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers, contributing positively to the workplace environment.\n
- Assist with chaperoning patients during appointments and specific medical procedures to ensure comfort and dignity.\n\nQualifications\n
- Education : Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or a related Science field preferred.\n
- Experience : A minimum of one year of nursing experience in rehabilitative, psychiatric, or geriatric care is preferred.\n
- Licensure : Registered Nurse licensed in Connecticut.\n
