First State Bank is looking for another Mortgage Loan Originator to add to our successful team!

If you are someone with mortgage loan experience, we would love to talk with you about working at First State Bank. Our branch footprint extends throughout Elkhart County as well as St. Joseph County Indiana. We have customers LaGrange County, Indiana and we are ready to move our customer and community centric banking model further east.

Mortgage Originators at First State should be able to :

• Create and maintain a network of contacts to help foster relationships with new clients.
• Understand that their best referral source is a customer who has been Wowed by great service.
• Communicate in a friendly, professional manner in speaking and in writing.
• Interview applicants and complete loan applications, create disclosures, and obtain the required due diligence and supporting information as requested to underwrite and close the loan.
• Respond quickly to customer questions because of mortgage loan and general banking knowledge.
