Position Overview

Role Summary :
The Director of Strategic Business Growth will be pivotal in propelling transformative growth and enhancing margins through strategic investments. This leadership role will focus on executing Cencora's strategic vision by identifying and leveraging high-value acquisition and partnership opportunities in our target markets. In collaboration with senior leadership, you will utilize mergers and acquisitions (M&A) as essential strategies for growth, proactively sourcing potential partners and overseeing all due diligence processes for successful business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
Leadership in Business Development
Collaborate with the senior leadership team to craft and implement a comprehensive inorganic strategy (M&A, partnerships, etc.) that aligns with Cencora's overall business objectives.
Conduct specialized market research to support end-market strategies developed by the Strategic Development group.
Deal Sourcing, Evaluation, and Execution
Create a proactive pipeline of potential targets and implement a comprehensive cultivation plan for optimal engagement.
Develop detailed deal theses based on market insights and collaborate with the business team for value creation strategies.
Team up with Corporate Development on return on invested capital (ROIC) model development and establish valid assumptions regarding value drivers.
Navigate through the deal stage gate process to enhance deal outcomes.
Deal Diligence and Execution
Lead cross-functional diligence teams to thoroughly evaluate assets and assess their impact on overall valuation.
Engage with subject matter experts for deal-specific assessments that reinforce confidence.
Identify risk areas and develop actionable integration plans to mitigate them.
Qualifications and Experience :
8+ years of experience in consulting, investment banking, or business leadership with a focus on inorganic activities.
Substantial expertise in the Healthcare and MedTech sectors.
Preferred educational qualifications include an MBA and a technical degree.

Proven track record in successful business transformation with the ability to lead organizations through change.
Strong strategic and analytical skills, capable of interpreting complex data and market trends for informed decision-making.
Exceptional executive presence with the ability to effectively communicate with senior leadership.
Skill in deal origination efforts, engaging potential acquisition targets, and ensuring alignment with business goals.
Ability to think strategically and collaborate on deal thesis development.
Advanced experience in due diligence processes, ensuring comprehensive evaluations of financial, operational, and strategic aspects.
Ability to maintain high cross-functional awareness, leading collaborative efforts to achieve strategic objectives.
Expertise in aggregating information and presenting insights clearly to diverse audiences.
Deep understanding of industry trends for leveraging strategic insights.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex information persuasively.
Strong project management abilities, adept at managing multiple priorities in fast-paced settings.
Demonstrated capacity for problem identification, evaluation of options, and effective solution implementation.
